are really bizarre.
in the Marcellus/vvs game they called pushing the pile on the q.b. as he was running a q.b. sneak at the 2.
then when the Marcellus coach asked him how a ball carrier can be called for it, a unsportsmanlike penalty was called on the coach.
then Marcellus scores a t.d. on the next play, but the very same ref calls a holding call after the ball was released and caught for a short t.d. run. the ref walks of the penalty where the q.b. released the ball and not from the spot of said penalty. The flag was thrown at the q.b.'s feet and the closet lineman was 5 yards in front of him. no pressure on the play.
then at the b'ville /henninger game the side judge must have been Ray Charles with the flag glue to his pocket at times.
the kid from henninger looked like he scored the game winner with 20 seconds left as he dove in the endzone and knocked the cone to the side out of bounds. what made this goofy was the ref marked the ball inside the one,but then argued with a fan during a timeout that the kid was really out on the two as the ref pointed and then stepped on the spot and told the fan you got a gift from me. Henniner scores on the next play and the same ref throws a flag for illegal procedure after the t.d signal was given. the refs huddled up and after a few minutes they decided to send the game into o.t.
this same ref on the last drive before o.t. threw about 4 penalty flags that would have stopped that drive...funny how one ref at times is the only one throwing the flags.
the same ref during the game also threw an illegal formation flag a few times and the henniger staff said that formation was their basic offense and not called for it once during the season
