I've never seen numbers about how many players transition from the CFL to the NFL but always assumed it was pretty low. They have no affiliation with the NFL and guys that go there tend to stay there. I don't think there is anything to suggest they're a developmental league. At least for 2017/2018, The Spring League had about 20 sign with NFL/CFL each year. Most of the NFL signees didn't make the roster, but players faired better in the CFL.
Just curious. Why isn't the CFL considered a developmental league?
Maybe the Athletic Department can bill it as our Spring GameDungey’s first game may 7th on FS1
Big pay cut for any SEC guys. The first games are in about two and a half weeks (Thursday, May 6th).
You'd think that you'd be able to see the rosters on the main website: Home - The Spring League
Here's an interesting nugget in the FAQ section:
Players in The Spring League receive housing and meals. No additional compensation is provided.
