Good year! Can't argue with the top pick, though The Manchurian Candidate would probably be in my all-time top 20, Advise & Consent and To Kill a Mockingbird are phenomenal (though the former suddenly seems very quaint in light of what's going on in Congress), The Music Man is a lot of fun, and Dr. No is great in its own way.

The Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario (just outside London, Ont.) is doing The Music Man this summer. It's one of Canada's finest (if not the finest) theater companies, and I personally guarantee it will be a terrific performance. Just in case you were looking ...
