From when the series began in 1916 to 1956, Pitt dominated the series 8-2-2

From 1957-1968, SU dominated 9-3

From 1969-1983, Pitt dominated 13-2

From 1984-2001, SU dominated 16-1-1

From 2002-2016, Pitt dominated 13-3

Hopefully this begins another ebb and flow of us taking control of this series.

Pittsburgh–Syracuse football rivalry - Wikipedia

Side note: coincidentally the one-sidedness of our rivalry with them in basketball since the early 80s closely mirrors football, in that we dominated them in the 80s and 90s, but they took control in the 2000s and 2010s, but now we have regained the upper hand.

also pretty much resembles when we have been good.. when we are good we win, when not we lose to most everyone

Anyone know of a good Pitt football forum. I just went to Pitt Lair and not one thread on the front page about us of their game with us. Most of the threads are OT.

I was personally fascinated by their men's fashion thread.

Pittsburgh is a pro sports town to it's core.

I just think playing at Heinz Field is a disaster for Pitt. And those yellow seats just scream emptiness. They need an intimate 40k stadium near their campus (which I know is difficult in Oakland).

When it was first opened, it was a huge sell to recruits because of the facility itself. 17 years later, I don't think they get nearly that same pop.

We think we have attendance problems, they have a big shiny yellow one that makes ours pale by comparison. We had 75% capacity for UConn (12k empty seats). They had 50% capacity for GT (34k empty seats).
