I have mixed emotions about the zone, mainly because it prevents you from recruiting certain types of players and limits some of your lineup flexibility. But I will say 2 things. 1. When you have the right guys - big guards, long fast wings, and a shotblocker at center, it is a very effective defense. Our team this year is just a perfect fit for it, and all the guys play incredibly hard. 2. JB has gotten better at coaching it. A lot of the stuff we do has become much more refined in the last decade.
