We get all worked up by numbers and stars and the hype from class rankings. Last years class on 247 was pretty good for us. But of that class only 3-4 really much effect on the season so far. Some played, some on specials. But the kid who probably 2nd biggest effect on how the season ended was the little know Kerr with a NA. Barnes and Kerr the DBs made some huge plays, Willis as well. But the rest got to test the waters and develop. The transfers though, about 10 of them stepped in and instant depth Lets hope 7-8 of last yrs Fr class make that leap into big pieces next yr As the season went on it wasnt so much the high end stuff that made the season. It was that we had more depth to fill more spots and perhaps keep more kids fresh. We went thru so many DBs this year in a rotation it was hard to follow at times. Thats good to see. Its like saying do you want six star dbs and 2 get hurt or 10 pretty good DBs in a rotation. Much like we managed to do with the oline . We played the biggest game of the year without the center and it still functioned. We lost our Best WR perhaps in Zeed game 2. a kid like JRS hardly got on the field. We lost the #2 RB and FR stepped in We lost much of our DTs and found a way, we lost our MLB and found a way, Yeah we want studs but a better middle is often just as important as what the top end is over 12 games
