As far as I have read, BC didn't lie. Leahy said all along that BC had no interest in a 16 team conference. When things went in that direction, he opted out. Based on the way things worked out for the 16 team Big East, Leahy was a genius.
 
Universities don't sue other universities. UConn is paying the price for breaking that unwritten rule.
 
That whooshing sign that you hear is the toilet flushing on UConn athletics. No invitation is coming. The spots are all filled. Notre Dame isn't going to save you. The Big 12 won't take FSU and open up a spot for you in the ACC. When Blumenthal filed that law suit he signed the UConn death warrant.
 
BC is now our best friend. A fellow private school in the same conference in the Northeast with whom we have a long history.
 
Heck, your Governor wants UConn to be best friends with BC too. But first there has to be abject apologies and some reparations paid.
