Comment: Texas and Texas Tech fell from the ranks of the unbeaten. Three of the current unbeaten teams will face 4-1 teams this week, all on the road. One of them is a rivalry game, Michigan at Michigan State. Oklahoma State travels to Texas a week after the Longhorns got embarrassed by Oklahoma. Kansas State, the lowest ranked and most surprising of the undefeated, (like us, they have a knack for winning close games), travels to Texas Tech. I think at least one of those unbeaten teams, probably two, will lose as pretenders begin to fall to the wayside.

The Sooners with their current ranking, just need to run the table for the regular season to be the team that faces the LSU-Alabama winner for the national title. That may be bad news for Wisconsin and Stanford, who may have teams just as good as the Sooners.
