And they didn't have to infer who hit it last. One view was pretty conclusive that it was off them.Horrid. The ball changed direction on the deflection. What kind of Houdini did those refs see, rather than using common sense physics?
If you’re too blind to see who it went out off when you were two feet from it, why would you see it correctly on a little TV screen ?And they didn't have to infer who hit it last. One view was pretty conclusive that it was off them.
Actually there were 3. Foul on the last shot of regulation and 2 on George in OT.I guess we could have had another challenge if the refs didnt shaft us on the first one? Two awful calls
I think the problem is slow motion. If you don’t watch full speed you miss the ball changing directionThe no travel call was criminal. Total bail out. Calls definitely did not go our way
I had a bigger problem with the foul called aside from the no travel call. I mean it was a double bail outI think the problem is slow motion. If you don’t watch full speed you miss the ball changing direction
I thought it was inconclusive. You couldn’t see for sure that the Houston kid touched it. The reaction from the players were the most conclusive. The Houston kid knew it. When they came back on the floor after the decision you couldn’t see by George’s expression that the kid knew it was off him. Kind of a funny moment despite not getting the challenge call.I think the problem is slow motion. If you don’t watch full speed you miss the ball changing direction
Agree that was really bad.The no travel call was criminal. Total bail out. Calls definitely did not go our way
I was really stunned by that. I know many didn't enjoy the announcers. But they were both talking like it was a foregone conclusion that it would be our ball there and I agreed with them. Extremely frustrating.I think the problem is slow motion. If you don’t watch full speed you miss the ball changing direction
Whether it's right or not, a referee will not make a call on a last second play that determines the outcome of a game unless it's totally obvious. There's always been the issue that only the play on the court should be the determining factor.Actually there were 3. Foul on the last shot of regulation and 2 on George in OT.
We got the shot we wanted. Kyle just didn’t go up with it immediately. Let’s be real here - Kyle with the ball 3 feet from the hoop - I’ll take those odds.Houston subsequently turned the ball over on that possession, but where the bad call hurt us IMO is not having a TO left at the end of regulation to set-up a better shot.
GT never played a Houston level defense last year, it also didnt help that there were some stagnant moments on offense that lead to George needing to play hero ball.George foul at the end and rushed shot is my main memory of the game.
I didn't see him at Ga Tech. His court and game awareness did not seem like that of a guy who led the ACC in assists.
I was saying real time “lob it.” All George had to do was put it up leading Kyle to the rim, and he would have got it. He put it in his chest, which I think caught him off guard a little. We got the shot we wanted. Kyle just didn’t go up with it immediately. eh maybe but he also dribbled into double teams off the high pick a lot. Even Candace Parker said he had to stop dribbling in the corner, and the foul and the ensuing shot seemed to be lack of awareness.GT never played a Houston level defense last year, it also didnt help that there were some stagnant moments on offense that lead to George needing to play hero ball.
So how can you opine. He has wins over UNC, Clemson, Louisville (the good Louisville) on a bad GTech team where he was pushing 8-9 assists in those games. He had JJ and Kiyan in the backcourt with him so he got alot of doubles. This is still the best Defense in the country last night and people are like we didn't he throw more lob dunks to Kyle like its Binghamton. Come on.George foul at the end and rushed shot is my main memory of the game.

I can't argue with that. At the time I was thinking about a clear-out for Starling. We got the shot we wanted. Kyle just didn’t go up with it immediately. Let’s be real here - Kyle with the ball 3 feet from the hoop - I’ll take those odds.
