- Baylor was a good team and losing to them is not a shock or something shameful. They passed and shot the ball extremely well. You wonder what they would have been if they hadn’t had all those injuries. Pat (20 Plus) suggested on the radio today that they didn’t belong in the tournament. Sorry Pat, but they did. - Elijah Hughes shot the ball like he did early in the season. He’ll like take over the Tyus Battle role next year as our big gun and the main focus of the defense. I think he’ll be up to it. He’s very athletic and can be a strong all-around player. The beat goes on. - Oshae Brissett continued his quality play from late in the seasons. He had 15 points and 7 rebounds vs. Clemson, 14 points and 8 rebounds vs. Duke and 14 points and 7 rebounds tonight. Maybe next year we’ll see the consistently productive star player we’d hoped to see this year. - Paschal Chukwu, in his last game, went out pretty strong with 7 points and 5 rebounds in 21 minutes. I wish he’d done as well in every game. - Syracuse basketball, even in a mediocre year, provides plenty of thrills. There were great games and great individual performances and great plays to remember. Each team should be appreciated and remembered for what they did accomplish, which would be the envy of most college basketball teams. It’s tough sometimes but you should enjoy being a Syracuse fan. It’s never dull. - It’s springtime. The weather will get warm and comfortable. The roads won’t be icy. Your living space will include the porch or deck and you back yard. You’ll swim, play golf, take walks, drive for pleasure and maybe watch a ball game and the sunset with a hotdog and a coke. The sporting events will not be so painful and frustrating. Each baseball game is 1/162nd of the season and there will be another one tomorrow night. You pro ably won’t even care who will win the Masters, the Kentucky Derby, the Indy 500 and dozen other things you’ll watch just to enjoy the event. Life will be good. 20-14 (11-9) and it’s springtime. LET’S GO ORANGE!
