- It’s a win and an ACC win and a 26 point win. What more do you want?

- Our defense was smothering in the first half. BC had exactly 1 point- count it, 1 – through the first 8 minutes and BC had only 13 points at halftime. We had 38 and the game was basically over. They couldn’t find the basket from the three point line, missing their first 19 treys. And we were on everything happening within the arc, too.

- BC started to figure things out in the second half and scored 37 points but it didn’t matter because we scored another 38. They can’t come back on you if you keep scoring.

- BC had two guys out but those two guys have bene out since 12/7. Everyone who played in tonight’s game also played when they beat Virginia last week.

- Buddy Boeheim put on a show, personally outscoring hitting 4 threes, and also hitting 5 baskets inside the arc, including a couple of banked in lay-ups over a BC defender. He scored 7 points in a row to take the lead from 11-7 to 18-7. As of 4 minutes and 28 seconds into the second half, Buddy had out-scored BC all by himself, 20-19. Buddy had 2 rebounds, 2 assists a steal and a block. He’s not just a jump shooter and it will be interesting to see where his game goes from here.

- Elijah Hughes put on a different kind of show. After being submarined on a dunk attempt in the first half, (and submarined a second time by the refs who called the foul on him), Elijah spent a couple minutes face down on the basketball floor, then got up slowly and spent the next 9 minutes on the bench. When he came back in he several times felt of his lower torso and even bent over a couple of times. Matt Park and Jim Satalin, the SU radio broadcast team, felt that he’s hurt a couple of ribs. The WAER guys after the game said it was a knee problem. Whatever it was, he didn’t let it affect his play and Hughes scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, passed for 5 assists and made a steal. He threw down a couple of dunks, broke a defender’s ankles with a jab step and twice was bodied in the middle of a jump shot but was strong enough to get a successful shot off anyway.

- Marek Dolezaj had a double –double with 10 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and steal. He’s getting more and more aggressive with his drives to the basket. And he’s become a good free throw shooter. He started out the season 19 for 36 from the line, (53%) but is 38 for 48 in his last ten games, (79%). That gives us four superior free throw shooters on the court at once with joe Girard, now #1 in the nation with 95.7%. Buddy Boeheim is 80% and Elijah Hughes is 77%. Those guys were 12 for 12 tonight and so was the team.

- Joe Girard had an uncharacterically bad night handling the ball with 4 turnovers but still scored 12 points, had an assist and a couple of rebounds. Niko Tamurian said on Channel 5 that he did this with a turned ankle.

- Howard Washington had a nice game. He had a couple of bad turnovers but made three nifty steals, one after his own bad turnover and one after Brycen Goodine’s. He went the distance on one of them, scoring a lay-up. He also had three assists and a rebound in 13 minutes of play.

- Brycen Goodine’s mask becomes him. He had two outstanding plays in 5 minutes, hitting a three point play in the lane and working the baseline for a scooped bank shot. There is talent there, after all.

- If we split our remaining games, the 'streak' will be preserved. (The NCAA tournament will take more than that.)

10-7 with 14+ to be done
