- DaJuan Coleman really came to play and had a career high 15 rebounds and a double-double with 10 points, including a couple of jump shots. His mobility was good and his effort constant. We are seeing some of the reasons he was a McDonald’s All-American. He may have that big senior year after all.
- Tyler Lydon isn’t shooting well but he continues to hit the boards with his second straight 9 rebound game. Of course, rebounds were plentiful tonight. But Tyler’s efforted isn’t keyed to whether the ball is going down or not.
- Andy White had a mostly lousy night but that three he hit at the end was big-time stuff.
- Our defense kept us in the game as we held Connecticut to 31% shooting and 29% from the arc.
- We also rebounded better, coming off a 33-41 non-effort vs. North Florida to lose only 40-41 against a bigger, better, (than NF), UCONN team.
