- Judah Mintz put on a show for Dick Vitale in the first half, whirling through the Blue Devils like a dervish to score 18 points, including a couple of spectacular dunks off fast breaks. He made it look like we could compete with this team. It was a false positive but Junior Mints is the real deal.
- I gave up on Joe Girard when I saw that Duke was all over him from the opening tip. But he found a way to hit a big three pointer in our one run and got to the line twice for three free throws and made 7 of 8. He also hit three more treys in the second half for 21 points. The clods on WAER called those “empty points”, but our problem wasn’t that our points were empty but that there wasn’t enough of them.
