- In the second halves of the last three games we have out-gained the opposition 638-450 and out-scored them 38-20. Given the choice I’d rather be the team that had the better second half.

- Our offensive line, for the first time all season, seemed to show some improvement. Despite the 7 sacks, DeVito had more time to throw than in past games and there were only a couple of “jailbreaks”. And in the second half, we ran the ball very well. Matt Park said that Florida State still had their starters in at that point, so it seemed legit. Matthew Bergeron replaced the departed Ryan Alexander, (will Sutomcat change his avatar?), and Pat Davis saw more action. Unfortunately Carlos Vettorello still seemed overmatched. But any sign of progress is welcome.

- DeVito played the whole game and didn’t seem the worse for wear afterwards. I had wondered if we’d have to try to beat Florida State with Clayton Welch.

- We were 13/23 on third down conversions, a lot better than we had been doing.

- Szmyt kicks that field goal, Cisco grabs that interception and we don’t give it up on downs on the FSU 15 and this could have been interesting. (But we didn’t and it wasn’t.)

3-5 and 4+ to do

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

upside. DeVito finished the game with POSITIVE rushing yardage (2.5)

Tbh that’s big. This seems like the first year he was able to actually break multiple runs in a game. It will at least make defenses respect his scramble a bit more.

I also liked the designed rollouts that we did. I’d like to sprinkle them in once or twice a quarter
