- That was not as easy a game as the score suggested but we won easily anyway. That’s what good teams do.

- We scored 50+ points for the fifth time this year, a school record. We have three games to go against opponents that will make it difficult to do that again. But pounding the lesser teams is another thing good teams do. We have now scored 444 points and are averaging a very Syracuse, (but unlike Syracuse) 44 points a game. 25 more points and this team will have scored more than any Syracuse team in history.

- Part of it was a gift and part was about our defensive pressure but Dino Babers said that in 35 years of coaching, he’d never seen a team produce four turnovers in four possessions – and it was in seven defensive plays. We scored 20 points off of them to blow the game open and the rest of the night was easy and fun.

- Moe Neal finally found some daylight and showed the explosiveness we saw in those high school clips of a few years back. He did get caught by guys coming from different angles on the 69 yarder but did score on the 67 yarder and wound up with 159 yards and two scores on only 8 carries, an average of 20 yards a shot!

- We rushed for 326 yards at 5.9 a crack. Yeah, they have a bad rushing defense but we made it worse. Jarveon Howard wasn’t perfect. He tried bouncing it outside a couple of times with bad results and fumbled at a time when Dino wanted to give Eric his curtain call. But he ran hard 15 times and got 71 yards out of it.

- Eric didn’t have a great night throwing the ball but the 65 yarder to Nykiem was a thing of beauty. He also did a great job of getting the team into the right formations and plays. We used everybody and they can’t cover everybody. Eric had 266 yards total offense and accounted for 2 scores on an average night.

- Uncharacteristically, we turned the ball over three times but we forced four of them and are now +13 on the season, approaching the +15 the 2001 Dwight Freeney team achieved.

- Taj Harris was moved above Devin Butler in the depth chart and responded by leading the team in receiving with 6 catches for 58 yards. He has good hands and runs smoothly and quickly. It’s just the beginning for him. When DeVito takes over, Taj is going explode.

- Sean Riley surprised everyone with that early fumble but fair caught a number of balls under difficult circumstances all night after that, including the next one when a defender tried to level him but went over his head as he got down to field the ball. He also had a 40 yard return on one that got us out of terrible field positon into excellent positon.

- Alton Robinson had two sacks and kept the pressure up all day. On Louisville’s first TD< he was clearly tackled by his blocker of he’d have gotten to the QB on that one, too.

- Andre Cisco played center field like he was Willie Mays, getting a pick and a 39 yard return and breaking up several passes. What a career he’s going to have here.

- The other Andre, Szmyt, scored 18 of our 58 points and is well on his way to that national record of field goals with 27 of 29 on the season. Cole Tracy of LSU, who was neck and neck with Andre, is 21 of 24 with a game against Arkansas tomorrow. The record is 31 by Billy Bennett, who made 31 for Georgia in 38 attempts in 2003. Andre leads the nation in scoring with 132 points. Darrell Henderson of Memphis and Devin Singletary of Florida International both have 108 points for second place on 18 touchdowns scored. The second ranked kicker is Dominik Eberle of Utah State with 100 points.

8-2 with 3 to go.

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

It's like Belichick drafting Brady in the 6th round. Now he's a genius.
