- Donnie Freeman and Elijah Moore, our star freshman, got it going again. Donnie had 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists while Elijah scored 16 points. (To be honest, almost all their points came in the 43-44 second half, which was kind of like Indiana getting those last couple of TDs against Notre Dame to turn from 3-27 loss into a 17-27 loss.) - Eddie Lampkin had some early turnovers but played 33 minutes and had 9 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal. - Lucas Taylor was 64 for 181 from three point range at Georgia State last year, (35.4%). This year he’s become the closest thing we had to a decent defensive player while shooting 1 for 13 going into this game. Today, he was 2/3 from three, scored 6 points, had 3 rebs, 2 steals and an assist. If he can hit some threes he can partially make up for Chris Bell’s disappearing act and earn more playing time for himself, which could improve our defense. - Kyle Cuffe also made a couple threes, (we were 8 for 16, 50%, which could have won us some of those other games), and scored 10 points. He will also play more if he scores more. 5-6 and 20+ to go LET’S GO ORANGE! Net Points This year I’m going to make things a bit easier on myself and just list the net points in each game after the Upside. Once a month I’ll do a deeper dive into the numbers rather than doing a “Net Points, etc.” post after every game. ‘Net’ points are the positives (points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks) minus the negatives, (missed field goals and free throws, turnovers and fouls committed). Donnie Freeman game: 17NP in 25minutes season: 164NP in 277 minutes = 23.7NP/40m Elijah Moore game: 12NP in 22 minutes season: 75NP in 228 minutes = 13.2NP/40m Eddie Lampkin game: 12NP in 33 minutes season: 129NP in 301 minutes = 17.1NP/40m Lucas Taylor game: 8NP in 23 minutes season: 20NP in 160 minutes = 5.0NP/40m Petar Majstorovic game: 3NP in 11 minutes season: 20NP in 83 minutes = 9.6NP/40m Kyle Cuffe game: 2NP in 17minutes season: 7NP in 55 minutes = 5.1NP/40m Jaquan Carlos game: 1NP in 40 minutes season: 60NP in 352 minutes = 6.8NP/40m Chris Bell game: -1NP in 17 minutes season: 76NP in 296 minutes = 10.3NP/40m Jyare Davis game: -5NP in 12 minutes season: 120NP in 229 minutes = 21.0NP/40m Naheem McCloud game: 0NP in 0 minutes season: 3NP in 11 minutes = 10.9NP/40m JJ Starling game: 0NP in 0 minutes season: 82NP in 220 minutes = 14.9NP/40m Chance Westry game: 0NP in 0 minutes season: -1NP in 10 minutes = -4.0NP/40m
