-          A road ACC win over a team that was recently in the Top 25 should help. I guess we got back the “quadrant 1” game we lost when Buffalo slipped a bit.

-          Oshae Brissett is evolving into quite a force. After a career high 25 against NC State he had 16 points and 12 rebounds in this game. He might be our best player at this point.

-          Frank Howard had one of his best games, brushing aside the pesky Chris Lykes, (he’s hard for an opposing point guard to like), for 18 points, 6 assists and one turnover. Frank had the floater working in this one.

-          And Marek Dolezaj got his 12 foot jumper working, hitting three of them to help preserve the lead. He had his usual excellent floor game including a brilliant no-look behind the back pass to Brissett for a lay-up in a crowd. He also hit the free throws that made it a multi-possession game in the last minute.

-          Tyus Battle was getting double teamed and no calls but he managed to make a huge three and a couple of key free throws down the stretch. He scored 6 of our last 8 points.

-          But our defense won it, holding Miami to 34% shooting including 22.6% from the arc. We also had 7 blocks and 28 defensive rebounds, although we missed a couple we should have had.
