- We won a tough game over a good team. Minnesota will win a lot of games this year. This and the St. Francis game will do us more good than the one-sided blow outs that are our normal fare this time of year. I don’t know if the other teams we’ll play in Hawaii will be more difficult than this one but they won’t be any rougher.
- We had only 10 turnovers against a Pitino pressure defense. Tyler Ennis couldn’t find the basket himself but found hit teammates for 5 baskets and no turnovers. He was also 10 for 11 from the line.
- CJ Fair continued to have trouble shooting and with turnovers but pulled down 10 big rebounds.
- Trevor Cooney hit 5 big threes. I’m starting to get more confident in him, feeling that he is a big weapon for us and that the opposition dare not leave him open. It’s a good feeling.
- Rakeem Christmas and DaJuan Coleman were both 3 for 4 from the field and DC added three free throws. They had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks between them.
- Jerami Grant had a solid game with 12 points and 5 rebounds. And he was 4 for 4 from the stripe.
