- I was more worried about the defense than the offense but it was the defense that adjusted as the game went along and started to offer some significant resistance to what Notre Dame was doing. Alton Robinson, McKinley Williams, Ryan Guthrie, Trill Williams and Andre Cisco made their presence felt.

- Moe Neal ran the ball 18 times for 76 yards while Dante Strickland carried it 8 times for 50 yards. I wondered if we could run on Notre Dame but we did – and should have done more of it.

- Taj Harris caught 5 balls for 78 yards. Most of them were late, after the game had been decided. But I think he and DeVito are going to make some big plays for us in the next three years.

- Sean Riley had four catches for only 15 yards but returned 6 kicks for 112 yards. But his big play came after Taj Harris coughed the ball up, (I think it was really more of a fumble than an interception), and Harris chased Alohi Gillman 54 yards down the field to make the tackle. Sean is a little guy but he’s all football player.

- The goalposts seem to move during the season as the games go by: our ambitions increase or decrease based on what has transpired. It’s good sometimes to reset to our original season goals to evaluate the team’s accomplishments. Most people felt we needed to get to 6 wins and a bowl with 8 wins probably our ceiling. We’ve already gotten to 8 wins with two more games to go. And neither will be against a team the caliber of Notre Dame. We could even wind up 10-3, our first ten win season since:
8-3 with 2 to go.

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

Still going to be a top 25 team after this game.

No one would have ever guessed at that start of the season we would be Top 25.

All is still okay!!

Do you think we will be ranked ahead of Pittsburgh? Pittsburgh almost won at Notre Dame. Although we have three losses and Pitt has four. They played Notre Dame, UCF and Penn State. We played Notre Dame and three fruitcakes.

I think we will be ranked around 18-20. Pitt and Nc St should join us in the Top 25. If Pitt can beat Miami and finish 7-1 in conference, they may beat out the rest to finish 2nd highest ACC team in polls.
