- The defense performed valiantly the whole game, refusing to get steamrolled by the Pitt ground game, (and Rodney Hammond is pretty good). After giving up 293 and 246 yards in our last two games, we held them to 161 and 3.4 yards a carry today.
- Our guys also came up with the only two turnovers to keep us within range.
- Andre Szmyt kicked two of his three field goals into the wind in a notoriously bad stadium for kickers. He scored all of our points.
- It was fun being ranked and seeing our score on the first page of the ESPN score and not having to click on ‘ACC’ to get our game.
- Hey! We could still go 9-3. Actually 7-5 looks pretty good right now, especially if we then go 8-5.
- One upside of having a lot of injuries is that you play a lot of people and the next season, (providing that those who can come back, do), you could have unusual depth. I remember that being a factor in 2018.
