- We won and we needed to win –badly. - We beat a team that lost to Connecticut by 2 at Connecticut and beat them by 22 points. We had a 30 point lead at one point. - Two guys who had faded to the point of transparency, John Gillon and Taurean Thompson, had huge games, hitting 17 of 22 shots, including 7 of 9 three pointers and scored 45 points. They really carried the team. It was a reminder that there are a lot of good players on this team. They just have to all be playing well and on both ends for the team to meet its considerable potential. - Our bench actually out-scored our regulars 55-44. - But Andrew White had a good game with 19 points - And Tyler Lydon was 4 for 6 inside the arc and pulled down 6 defensive rebounds. - Frank Howard continued his awful shooting but got to the line, making 6 for 8 free throws and dealt 11 assists vs. 2 turnovers. - One guy got 34 points but his teammates only got 43 points. Only one of them was in double figures but Eric Fanning scored his 12 points on 3 for 9 shooting. Overall BU shot 36% from the field while we were shooting 52% and that’s what won the game. - We had 13 steals and no less than 28 points off turnovers, compared to 4 and 7 for the visitors. - It looked early on like it was going to be another gut-punch game. The Terriers were, like Terriers, unintimidated and dominated the early going, taking a 12-20 lead. The rest of the half was 19-33 and the second half 38-54. Good stuff. 6-3 with 22+ to go! LET’S GO ORANGE!
