- Cole Swider had a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. I’m pleased that he found a way to contribute to this team besides the occasional 3 pointer.
- Budd Boeheim also is trying to become a more complete player. Yes he shot 5 for 20 but he got his usual 17 points and added 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
- I like to imagine which of our players opposing fans would hate the most and he becomes a favorite here. Jimmy Boeheim is such a pest. He finds cracks in the defense and can score in multiple ways. He positions himself for a follow shot and ‘clean-up’ a miss. He got that save from Swider and went 60 feet through an unbelieving defense to score.
- Jesse Edwards didn’t wind up with spectacular stats, but they were pretty good for for 20 minutes: 6 points, 5 rebounds a block a couple of steals and 2 assists. The big thing is that we were a different team with him in there and he was they key to the runs that gave us 8-point leads in each half.
- Benny Williams hit a couple of medium jumpers and had plenty of air under the shot. Earlier, his shot was flat as a pancake. It’s a start.
- Let’s just try to win the next one: what else can we do?
