- Fran Brown opened his tenure here with our third 10 win team of this century. The only other SU football coach to open with a ten win season is Paul Pasqualoni, who inherited a successful program.

- It was our third trip to the west coast. We played substantial opponents in each game and won all three.

- We beat three ten+ win teams this season. We only played two opponents with losing records. One was California (6-7) and the other, unfortunately, was Stanford. We lost to easily our worst opponent. But 11 of 13 opponents were at .500 or better.

- It may be a long time before we have a quarterback who could throw the ball right into the receiver’s hands like Kyle McCord. Some complain that he doesn’t have a “cannon for an arm’, but does a quarterback need a cannon? In this game he averaged 19 yards per completion and got 5TDs out of it.

- Kyle made his receivers look good but they made him look good, as well. Oronde Gadsden, Trebor Pena, Jackson Meeks, Darrell Gill and LeQuint Allen are wonderful targets and each is different. The opposition can’t cover all of them.

- Our defensive front seven, which looked so pathetic against Boston College on November 9th, totally shut down the Cougar’s running game. It was Zevi Eckhaus vs. Kyl McCord. Game over.

10-3 with none to go

LET’S GO ORANGE !!!!

Also, I spent the evening with my pal Accurater, which is why I wasn't on the board much. He was, as always great company and even our jinx, (SU rarely withs the games we watch together), couldn't overcome, McCord, Allen and DART.

Additional upside is McCord’s performance, offensive MVP and breaking ACC All-Time passing record and the media attention that comes with all of the above should help out more pressure on NCAA to approve his waiver.

It will be good for CFB if Heisman hopeful Kyle leads us against Tenn, ND, SMU, Clemson, Miami….

When you say we lost to our worst opponent do you mean worst record opponent?Stanford may have a worse record but I think they are a far superior team than Holy Cross.

Yeah, I meant record.
