- Déjà vu. Two games back we were out-rebounded by West Virginia 20-41 but played great defense, (their center was 2 for 10 from the field) and won a nail-biter in the Dome 63-61. Tonight, we got out-rebounded 35-52 but played great defense (their center was 1 for 12 from the field), and won nail-biter in the Dome, 64-61.

- Kris Joseph broke out of his offensive slumber at the right time, hitting 6 of 11 from three to carry the team on his back. He scored a career high 29 points. He is an offensive dude.

- Fab scored 11, pulled down 7 rebounds and had 6 huge blocks. He will live in Henry Sims’ nightmares.

- When Scoop Jardine wasn’t having his “What the Scoop” moments, he made some key plays- the three point play to beginning the half, the over the shoulder alley-oop to Fab and the big steal at the very end. He also had 8 assists.

- Brandon Triche only played 21 minutes but scored 7 points, 3 rebounds and had 2 assists and a steal. He had the big three pointer that ended out 8-0 streak to start the second half. The question is: why did he play only 21 minutes?

- When you are a good defensive team you can do a lot of things wrong, or badly and still have a shot to win. Offensive rebounds almost always produce points from the field or the line. Georgetown had 23 offensive rebounds but only 13 second chance points.

- This team wins games other Syracuse teams would have lost.

24-1 and 15 to be done….. Impossible is nothing!!!!

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

Joseph setting up as a go to guy is the biggest positive coming out of this game.
