- We aren’t going to the Orange Bowl.

- We rolled up the numbers, as usual. 484 yards used to mean you’d dominated the game and won in a blow out. Nassib passed for 286 yards. We used to get a quarter of that in the G-Rob era. Jerome Smith had his third straight 100 yards game. In the end, they were just numbers.

- Jay Bromley was able to play. And Deon Goggins had a big game. They are a strong pair for us in the trenches.

- Back and forth. When we think we’re going good, we lay and egg. But when we are down on the team, the come back. It wouldn’t shock me at all to see them beat Louisville next week. And realistically, we just need to get to 6 wins. We can do that. Hang in there.

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

Just a few points we've had 5 games where we passed 40 or more times we lost 4, the only win was south florida and it took the last drive to get there. In 5 games we ran more times then passing we won 4, the game we lost was minnesota. I know everyone wants an aerial circus, but as long as we win that's all that should matter.

Against South Florida we ran the ball 27 times and passed it 13 times in the first half and scored 3 points. In the second half we ran it 20 times and passed it 23 times and scored 34 points.

We passed the ball 8 times in the last drive, as that was our only option. My point is we are a better team when we establish the run, which helps to open up the passing game. According to the su box score we ran 46 times, and passed 40 including Ryan's great 7-8 on that last drive. I'd be happy to throw 30-40 times in a game as long as we run effectively.

I've no objection to runnign the ball effectively but Nassib is better when we are passing most of the time. He's a 'rhythm' quarterback and tends to struggle when we aren't in the two minute offense.

Smith got his first touchdown, too. That belongs in the Upside.

Goggins also had another really dumb personal foul penalty. That does not belong in the Upside.
