- This was our 47th straight non-conference regular season win and broke Arkansas’ s 25 game home court winning streak. Our mojo topped their mojo.

- James Southerland picked the right time to have a career game with 35 points, the most by an Orangeman since Jonny Flynn had that many in 2009 at Providence. Remember when James had the rep of a player who could only do it in the Dome? We don’t have to “Find yourself an offensive dude” as Hubert Davis said last year. We’ve got one.

- Brandon Triche had struggled for much of the game when he really came through when his tam needed him, scoring 10 points in a row personally after Arkansas had closed to within 59-54 and suddenly our big lead was back again.

- Michael Carter-Williams came within an assist of t triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Can he play any better than that? He sure can. Just watch.

- CJ Fair still seems to be operating in the background but he came up with 12 points, most of them at key junctures in the game. It gave us 4 double figure scorers to two for Arkansas.

- I don’t know how much it was our defense and how much was Arkansas just clanking the ball but the Pigs were just 5 for 24 from the arc and that did as much to decide the contest as anything. I expected them to go off at come point and we’d have to try to survive it. But it never came and we won by 9. 8 for 24 and we're still playing.

- The most important stat in basketball is 2 point field goal percentage. In the first half we were 8 for 23, (.348) and they were 10 for 19, (.346). And we had the bigger team. But we turned it around in the second half, going 14 for 19, (.737) to 9 for 19, (.474).

- Long Beach State is pretty good. So is Detroit. But if we can get by Temple in the Garden on 12/29, we will complete our fourth straight 13-0 non conference season. And if that ^%$^%#! 70 footer hadn’t gone in for Cleveland State back on 12/15/08 it would be 5 in a row. And that includes wins over Florida, (twice), Kansas, Virginia, Memphis, (twice), California, North Carolina, Michigan, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, (twice), Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Stanford, San Diego State, Arkansas and, if we beat them, Temple. Pretty good stuff.

5-0 and here we go!

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

Re MCW - played well, but cost us 6 points with sloppy ball handling near the end. Lessons learned, I'm sure.
