- The fever broke with 4:33 left in the first half. Up only 28-24 over Central Connecticut State and wondering how we’d ever beat a Big Team, CJ Fair hit a three point shot in answer to one by CCS to put us up 31-28. It began a 15-0 run that became a 68-38 finish. The team looked more like the team that seemed to have all the answers over the first ten games.

- We finally hit some shots, going 10 for 22 from three point range. That opened everything up and got the team playing with more confidence. I’ve always thought getting points for putting the ball in the basket was one of Naismith’s first ideas. It was surely one of his best.

- Michael Carter-Williams looked like an elite point guard again, scoring 18 points, including 3 of 4 three pointers and dishing 13 assists. He had 9 rebounds and scrambled all over the floor to try to get a triple double. It will surely come and in a game more important than this one.

- CJ Fair continued to play well with a double-double, (13 points, 10 rebounds).

- We had five guys, (MCW, Triche, Coleman, Fair and Southerland) in double figures and just missed a sixth, (Christmas had 9). That’s what a Syracuse box score is supposed to look like.

- Christmas almost gave us three double-double guys with 10 rebounds. He also had four blocks.

- We absolutely crushed the Blue Devils on the boards, 57-32. We’ve played a lot of overmatched teams but didn’t roll up numbers quite like that.

- We’re back on track.

12-1 and eighteen to be done! (and then some!)

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

Elite CCSU is not...but it was fun to see the Cuse be the Cuse again.
