Watched the Oregon-UCLA game yesterday. One of the announcers said that this is the first time since 2009 that two ranked PAC12 teams played each other! Hard to believe except that the PAC12 has gone stretches of the past 4 seasons with ZERO ranked teams. Don't expect much this season but the conference is starting to improve.
Old flame, Kyle Anderson, nicknamed Slo'Mo, is exactly as billed: not quick, high BB IQ, great handle for a 6'9" guy, poor shooter. The announcers called him a pt forward. Makes other players better, might end up a great college player if he sticks around for a few years, however, I don't think we are missing much with him this season.
UCLA wouldn't amount to a hill of beans without the UNC transfers Larry Drew and the Wear twins. Almost all of the Twins shot attempts were 10-15 jumpers - very unusual to see - and they made a lot of them. Shabazz is a good player but doesn't seem to make others on the team better. He looks and acts like an NBA player. When he is in the half court set he stands around the 3 pt circle and raises his hand just like Donte Greeen.
