Lost in all the F-this, F-that and F-the-other-thing is the fact that Georgetown and Syracuse are, once again, at the top of Big East standings.
Both teams came into the Big East at the top of the table (SU winning the regular season with G'town taking the tourney) and it is fitting that both teams be at the top of the standings in their final season together in the Big East.
The F-UConn (gotta give props to my Boy Marsh) fans can talk all they want but the Hoyas and the Orange made this league great. The Big East without SU and Georgetown is Conference USA. And given what will be left and where those schools are located, Conference USA is really what the remnants should be called.
Ok MCW et al., you want to be a one-seed and have your ride pass through Philly and DC on the way to Atlanta, you have your destiny in you own hands: 3 games against the two teams in first place...run the table, run the Big East and make Wells Fargo center look like a Nova-SU game and the regionals at the Verizon center look like an SU -Georgetown game.
