Probably buried in one of the threads about the game

Game one we have 6 guys with Multiple catches including TE/RB lead by Cook
Game two we have 7 guys with multiple catches and Cook barely got a look with his injury

I thought Hornsby had a couple nice plays, Russell had a couple nice plays, JRS had the couple huge plays, Gill stepped up and Vallari was out standing

Thomas was getting love until the injury, Ross still injured, Hatcher still injured

They are making some nice catches, need to create some cleaner spots for the QB windows

Will one step up a bit more for the deep game, but we need a bit better protection for that .

I know we were hoping, but we were not expected to have a group that makes us top 10 team in passing.

A few lost throws to guys were open as well during this game.

There’s an abundance of talent but to Otto’s point the route running isn’t great. But even with that said they were good and will get better. Can’t wait for Emmanuel Ross to get healthy.

AZ alluded to this, but I think we're really missing Ross Douglas. We were praised for route running last year. This year isn't nearly as crisp it seems.
We had older players in OG, Pena and Meeks and that should help with better route running. Our receivers are all pretty young. That probably has something to do with it. Cook was likely slowed this game also. McCord didn't need much space at all to squeeze a pass in last year. As a unit they are still doing pretty well.

Did you mean to say Thomas or was that meant to be "Boobie" Johnson? Is Thomas injured?

100% the experience overall mattered.

I do think it's possible Douglas is an exceptional WR coach and we had a bit of a perfect storm between the returning talent in Gadsden and Pena and guys that came in like McCord and Meeks (who so absurdly went above expectations), plus Nixon and Douglas as elite coaches.

Villari is running better than ever, so credit has to go somewhere for that. To him and the coaches. Last year he looked so lost, this year he looks elite…. Like NFL potential. Very bullish on his outlook remainder of year. I think he is going to push close to 1,000 yards…
