… who currently have four or more consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. Colgate is one of them. We beat a solid team tonight. They’re not Kansas, but they’re not Arkansas Pine Bluff either.

Just a PSA to those saying it’s “only Colgate”. Stop and enjoy the win.

Okay, I’ll go back to lurking.

I’m glad half of those teams will be in Hawaii…..

He’s one of the best coaches in the country.
He needs to work on his press offense and having his guards play with some poise. They were dreadful down the stretch.

Definitely a solid win, really really well coached team. I just wish we didn’t have to come back from 24 against them.

Michigan State has had several questionable double digit loss seasons. Getting in over us when we had better resume. They should not have that streak.

We beat a tourney team, it’s practically a lock they will be in again IMO. Yes I get it “Colgate?!?”. But cmon, take a step back and realize that these smaller schools who have continuity in their programs with teams who are mature and played a lot together are tough outs early in the season. They’re a very very solid program and a great litmus test now days, can’t believe I’m saying it but it’s true. Beating them means something, not everything. Now beating canisus and UNH literally mean nothing in comparison. This was a big win early in reds career. Monkey off the back type of game. I’m cautiously optimistic that we are going to make some noise this year. When I say noise, I mean I can see ya knocking off some teams we “shouldn’t” but also I fear we lose a few we “shouldn’t”. Buckle up, this is fun. This isn’t the product we have been watching the last 4+ years.

Good post, but every game means something. How did the Bonnie's feel when Canisius beat them. How did Nova feel when Penn beat them. Yesterday was a come to Jesus moment. Red was unbelievable in those last 16 minutes directing this team to victory. Our guys believed and operated as a complete unit for a full 94 feet. I'm sure the locker room last night had a completely different feel to it. And it should pay dividends going forward.

And a good post right back at ya!

I agree - not meaningless, you are correct. I guess what I should say is meaningless in regards to our team growth. This Colgate game meant a lot for that locker room.

We needed this win but you can’t assume this is a Q2 or whatever. Last season was last season. I just hope this win ages better than the Purdue win back in September.
