This could just be a federal investigation without any new information. There doesn't need to be any new information. A few people on Syracuse.com are adamant in saying prepare to be shocked with new info? They are commenting on syracuse.com so who knows. I believe a fed investigation would include a lie detector test from the accusers and their girlfriend. Who knows, what were they snapping pictures of in an upstairs room?
Did something new come out with someone giving details of bedrooms or bathrooms in the house? Where they just doing the standard CPU hard drive searches and taking pics of that information? Why the hell would there be evidence in the file cabinets? I'm afraid we are in for a long ugly ride here? Were the hard drives missing? Were they looking in the woods for them or in the trash?
There is no statute of limitations on this anymore, see below:
A multitude of federal crimes have their own statute of limitations.
Federal offenses in which a child is the victim have their own specific statute of limitations. The Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act (P.L. 109-248, H.R. 4472, 2006) changed the statute of limitations to enable United States Attorneys to prosecute crimes against children long after they are alleged to have taken place.
The law was drafted in response to the abduction and murder of Adam Walsh, son of America’s Most Wanted Founder John Walsh. The law was signed by President George W. Bush in July 27, 2006.
Like capital crimes (where the death penalty can be imposed) and terrorism, crimes against children now have no statute of limitation. A federal offense against a minor can be prosecuted at any time, even after decades have passed.
For almost all federal criminal charges involving children, a child is defined as any person who is less than 18 years of age.
The following federal criminal charges have no statute of limitation:
