Our DL got pushed around those first two series like we were playing against Wisconsin's OL. D did a much better job in the second half.

Placekicking--what the happened to Krautman? Kid was money as a freshman.

RT--Lou played extremely poorly today. Looking forward to Pugh's return.

4th down plays--I'm pleased that we went for TDs twice, but we couldn't pick up a few yards in 4 plays when we needed them.

ST in general, continues to be a disaster. I actually did like what I saw of Desir returning punts in limited duty.

Injuries--hate to see guys get dinged in this type of game. Hope Rene's okay [amongst others].

Offense started slow...again. Took off in the second half, but where were they in the first? Nassib was something like 6-15 at one point.

I wonder if the above was related to losing to USC / playing a FCS team this week, as some predicted might happen.

We were actually losing at halftime. Ugh.

Final score is a downer; left a lot of points off the board with those two failed TD attempts inside the 5 and the two missed FGs.

Would have preferred an easy win, but glad that we got a "W" on the board. That's all that really matters.

Why can't this team play 4 quarters of good football? It's really frustrating when you consider how good they look when they're playing well.

At least we dominated after quarter 2 despite leaving 14 points out there.

Agreed a win is a win is a win and style points don't matter. To the teams credit I was never really worried in the second half... For the most part we LOOKED like a d1 team taking on a d2 team besides the one drive on D... Our offense overmatched them except for the two goalless plays.

I agree 100% with every point you made. This team seems to play a lot better in the 2nd half they better realize football is 60 minutes and not 30 minutes.

I like your post, RF...I also liked what I saw from Desir; he seemed to at least make a few guys miss and fought for every yard. He also looked very comfortable back there. I haven't liked the way Rene has played but hope he's okay. That injury looked serious.

no huddle's tend to start slow, we'll be a second half team. we just can't fall too far behind. maybe it's something about playing fast, even oregon is ordinary in first quarters , i think

I don't know. Performing better in the second half is one thing, but the slow starts the last two games are more worrisome than just not being in rhythm. Wasn't Nassib 6-15 or something at one point?

OL also underperformed today compared to how they played the first two weeks [especially RT].

Hopefully, this will give the coaching staff fodder all week to ride the team, which in turn makes them more focused from the opening kickoff next Saturday.
