We just don't have a huge alumni base like the large state schools where many stay nearby. BUT, when it comes to donations to the program and/or school, that responsibility falls MUCH more on alumni than local yocals. Locals may go to games and might even donate for preferred seating. But it is for entertainment purposes even if some are diehards. But it is not "their school". It is THE school of the alumni and financial support lies there.
