I suspect the reason Rutgers might be there is because they are higher interest this year due to their two high profile NBA Draft prospects.

As an aside, the two Rutgers frosh are playing well at 20+ppg, but freshman will almost always have some flaws in their game... can't expect freshman to turn your program into an automatic tournament team, especially in the portal era.

I think there was an expectation for them to make it this year. They were borderline top 25 when season started IIRC. Most years though, I agree there is not an expectation.
