The funniest was one of my cousins who had mostly lurked for year but posted occasionally. She asked me if I posted on any and I said syracusefan and she said she had always followed that board and posted once in awhile. She then asked me if I knew anyone on the board and I told her I knew plenty of people. She asked if I knew Jake...Yep. Then she asked me if I knew Bees...:)

I remember the very first person I met from the board in the way way early days was Tomcat. We decided to meet at a smoke filled Gino & Joes on Old Liverpool Road and share "info". Very clandestine.
 
But my favorite "meeting" wasn't a random encounter and was actually pre-planned. It was in the early days of this "community" but I don't remember where we resided at the time (I know it was post AOL). Several of us who really didn't know each other planned to meet at the bar at the Sheraton up on the hill (may have been called something else then). Besides myself there was CTO, Tomcat, Jake, Cheriehoop (and her husband Jimhoop :) ) and IGOR. I think that was it and sorry if I forgot someone. I  think maybe a couple people may have met each other before (CTO and Cherie?) but I'm not sure. I know it was the first time I met anyone other than Tomcat that 1 time. Good times for sure.
