Nice post. This loss hurt a lot. That's not a bad thing, rather a sign that we have hope and care more than is good for us. We have a bunch of great players but some glaring weaknesses as well. I hope the coaches figure out how to win with these guys because I think they can. We may have to switch away from conservative game-planning and opt for an "offense is the best defense" mantra. We need to score early & often to win enough games to get to a bowl, and we have the players we need to do that. Our defense just isn't going to carry the day the way we've come to expect. The coaches need to develop as much as our young players and aggressively play to our offensive strengths. I think we came out flat against a team that was inspired and could have won if we hadn't been so conservative to start the game. They came out motivated at the half because we didn't come out firing from the git-go. We helped them believe they could win, and they seized that opportunity. We can do better...On to Virginia!!
