[QUOTE="sutomcat, post: 4421254, member: 27"] Yes, I don't believe this has been decided yet. The latest plan was to delay the start of installation until after the 2023 football season, right? With most of the installation happening during the summer of 2024 I think. It is a fact that there is significantly less room per row for the 300 level than for the other 2 levels. The 100 and 200 levels were designed for bleachers with backs. The 300 level was not. That presents challenges bringing in individual seats to the 300 level. It is uncomfortable moving around in the 300 sections today. If you need to get to a seat 20 in from a row, you have to do a lot of bending and contorting to get there (and the people in the way have to move around too). I could see where it is possible installing individual seats makes things more uncomfortable for fans than dealing the existing hard aluminum bleacher seating. There isn't much room to get around even today. Pretty sure the plan was to go with wall mounted seats for the 300 level that are not as deep as the ones for the other levels. I think those things would mitigate these issues to a large extent. But if they only went to individual seats for the 100 and 200 levels, the capacity for football might be reduced from 50K to 47K and the capacity for basketball only reduced from 35K to 33K. That minimizes the impact this would have on income (assuming we are going to get sell outs fairly often in football or basketball). The impact on the location of long standing season ticket holders for basketball would also be reduced pretty dramatically. I think people on the 300 level would still hate it but you might be able to keep your section and only get moved up 20 rows (instead of having to move a section or two further from half court). I could see where the powers that be might consider this as an a option. If we see a fan survey comes out soon only for basketball season ticket holders that sit in the 300 level that has a question mixed into the middle asking about whether you would rather sit a section further from midcourt for basketball and have an individual seat, or stick with a bleacher seat and retain your existing seat, it is time to take this idea seriously.
