one of the reasons is that one of my favorite words is anecdote. my preferred definition is "an account regarded as unreliable or hearsay".
the absolute best part about the last few days before the season starts is the amount of anecdotal nonsense that each fanbase starts to convince themselves of. I was reading one fan board where part of the conventional wisdom is that the team will be better because of improved "nutrition and conditioning". if gave me flashbacks to the immediate post-gerg era.
I will now add my anecdotal season analysis:

I will now add my anecdotal season analysis:
- We need to run the ball, and stop the run
- We need to limit turnovers but force them on defense
- We need a big play offense that can score on any play
- We need to control the line of scrimmage
- Our team works harder
- Our team cares more
