This is one big reason CBB is losing fans to the NBA.

idk about NBA i dont watch or watch ncabb outside of cuse

but rosters turning over every year in NCABB has definitely caused my interest in ncaabb to plummet

quality of play is also much much worse...(even though i think analytics and expanded coaching staffs have generally raised the bar in that area...despite there not being nearly as many big name charismatic personlity coaches as there used to be)

i literally dont know any players in college basketball right now and dont care to learn who they are either

exactly . people who've grown up watching the college game since the players started jumping early don't realize the loss in quality of play . used to have NBA talent for 3-4 years on the roster.

I recognized 7 of the names on the list. I support players making money, but agree this no rules transfer portal stuff does make it harder to keep track and truly get into the regular season as much. I still watch, but not as much as I used to. However, March Madness is still awesome. I try to catch every game of the tournament.

As far as the NBA, I know a lot of people like it. But I just can’t get into it. Especially the regular season. They play 82 games and only eliminate 1/3 of the teams from playoff contention…? The regular season means nothing. Also, this may be an “old man yells at cloud” take, but stuff like the Giannis travel not being called the other day is infuriating to me.
There are things in every sport that are similarly frustrating. Clearly wrong ball/strike calls in baseball, the nebulous world of pass interference and missed holding in football. Missed foul calls, travels in hoops…. Gotta find a way to make the other 95% of the experience more impactful than the 5% of screamy BS.
