Our average defensive possession last year was 19.8 seconds, there were only 2 teams longer; Eastern Michigan and South Dakota State.

Wow, that is so weird. Didn't mean to steal your thunder

It definitely makes sense th at there would be a correlation between length of possession and defensive quality. (Also, giving up as many offensive rebounds as we do makes the possessions longer).
