Need to have the mentality of a closer in the big leagues. Lose the game...shrug it off and get ready for the next one. Can’t dwell! If I am HCDFB I am not spending to much time dwelling on this game tape. As a matter of fact I would have the team watch replays of their games with NC and NC State to remind them of how they kick some @$$. Move on...house money and put your mind on BC. End strong!!

Today was embarrassing but your right move onto bc. If this program has turned the corner go out and beat bc.

Yes it was embarrassing. But we the fans and the players need to stay focused. We still have the second best record in the ACC. This was not a conference game. Win at BC and we can still do something special. No one thought we would win 9 games this year. And we still have a shot at 10! Don’t lose faith in this team.

Every team is gonna take an L, you can’t win every game. The things that separate good teams and great teams is how you respond to that L, dwelling on a loss has the ability to change your season if you let it. I have faith in our guys to not get down on themselves but take in in stride as a learning experience. On to BC boys, let’s finish out the regular season with a W. LGO

I was annoyed and left the game early. But I’m over it. BC losing took some of the sting off.

one loss counts as one loss. just like the clemson and pitt games did. doesnt matter in the end whether you lose by 33 or 4. It's still one loss in the ledger. No shame in losing to top 10 games on the road. Things got away from us.

Great point, even though it sucks it still only tallies one additional loss in the overall record. Many of us thought this was going to be a loss anyway. BC has always worried me. I see this as the Pitt scenario all over again, road game vs. a physical Northern rival following disappointment from losing to an elite team the previous week. If they can manage to win next week it will show growth from the mini two game road skid mid season. Come on Dino!

I recognize the spirit of what you are saying, but this game tape is invaluable. Not just Devito, for whom there is a little tape, but everyone needs to see the flaws and tendencies that were finally exploited by a superior opponent. There is so much for all of these players to learn from this game. I think even psychologically, studying the tape can make the team feel that they are closer to success than the scoreboard suggested.

I like what I've heard from Babers about the lessons from this game ("This will make us stronger" etc.). His team is young and it showed. Lets be honest, outside of the day game at Clemson (much tougher at night), this team hasn't exactly faced a hostile or "big game" atmosphere of yesterday.

I expect Babers to use the tapes to show where they made mistakes, learn from it and at least reduce those mistakes so that they are the experienced team in future big game situations. Most sports at a high level come down to which team executes the basic fundamentals of that sport more effectively.
