Mondays of the year: the end of MNF and the start of Big Monday!!! I miss those days when SU basketball mattered, and was must see tv for most of the country.
It's a 9-12 year drop. It's amazing how much Syracuse basketball has changed over the past 10-15 years. I tried to explain to my sister, who is a senior at SU, how awesome basketball used to be, and I felt like I was spinning a tall tale of years gone by. She only went to one game over the past 4 years, and I can't really blame her.
This decline is approaching a point of no return. The University really needs to start trying soon.

initially yes. but p.j. late eighties got them turned around. they lost the national championship game in overtime to michigan. initially UCONN was a gimme . then came calhoun. the old big east was a conference where every team took a run at the top . not just the perennial ACC blue bloods.good coaches. good rivalries. good tv.Fan 2: They’re Seton Hall; they always suck.

Your kids are the exact same ages at mine. My son LOVES SU hoops and will ask me "Dad can we still make the ACC tournament?" Not the NCAA, the ACC.I have a 9 year old son and an 11 year old daughter. They have no memories of Syracuse being legitimately good.
