I was concerned about it going in...but watching this game, their fans are b-leaguers. If they get gut punched early, they will shut up quick.

Well not exactly. SU fans care enough to go to Utica for that. Guessing less so for Cal. If we were playing them in a barn, maybe it matters. In an arena it won't.
