In watching tonights Rutgers SF game it is clear that SU can win every game left on its schedule or it could lose. If we stay healthy our win loss is going to come down to coaching. We do not have a talent issue. This is going to be interesting.

Except for Louisville.

Oy.

So if our coaches come up with perfect game plans, but the players fumble, miss blocks, drop sure interceptions, etc. the loss is due to "coaching"?

I say we win out the rest of the schedule or come close. That is provided Nassib doesn't get hurt.

My point is simple. Talent wise we have no excuses the rest of the way. If the coaches put the players in position to win and they drop passes or fumble sure i get that, free pass. But if we are out coached...

In watching one game featuring two of our ten opponents you can make that conclusion, eh?

You must believe SU made $5 million from the USC game too. Oh wait...

Yes i can and easily. The reason is that both RU and SF have been picked to finish in the top of the Sun Beast. I dont know about you but i believe that based on what im seeing we have the talent to beat both of these teams. In short we can play with them talent wise. If that is too difficult for you to grasp i understand, eh

if that's true don't ask me and Millhouse our thoughts....:bang:

So are you the one who gets to decide if we are "out coached"? Is there a committee that does it? Maybe a blue-ribbon task force? Will the people have access to all SU practices and game plans, so they can make an appropriate judgment?

Can you post your criteria for what constitutes being out coached now? You know, so that when you claim it you're not just making it up on the fly.

I don't think it comes down to coaching per se. I think we do a good job coaching with the exception of punt protection. But I do think coaching decisions can play a role. It gets tiring listening to Marrone talk about being aggressive, like he did again tonight, then not putting his money where his mouth is during the game.

Scooch i think we will all know. Having access to practice has nothing to do with it. Im talking about a game plan, play calling, personal decisions, in game adjustments. I think we out coached USC and NW but lost those games based on non coaching issues such as turn overs and in the case of USC superior talent. Scooch i know you like to lead and i can tell by your post that you are a born leader so if you would like to Chair the orange and blue ribbon task force please send your resume along with your " Doug M" playbook and guide to success to my attention off line and i will be glad to consider your application.

i think that it all comes down to coaching. When i posted this a few weeks ago i was extremely concerned that Doug and Hack had the ability to out coach our opponents. At this point i believe that the jury is still out as 5 turnovers will kill any team. Still Dougs teams seem to get worse as the year goes on not better and that is a major concern. I also hate the fact that Doug seem so detached during the games. Trance like which is strange at best. I have never seen a coach as lifeless as Doug on game day never not even close. I hope that this guy is the answer but he either is or he isnt. At this point he needs to win as he has plenty of talent now he has to prove that he has some as well.

I thought we were pretty aggressive offensively.
