It amazes me how any recruit could list them as their leader given the recent upheaval in the program and the way the current class of recruits was ***ed over. Not to mention the exciting prospects of playing Memphis and San Diego State every year.

I think his perception is based on his long standing relationship with Flood, and not the overall predicament of the Rutgers program going forward. That, IMO, is to be expected. It will take time before the relationship aspect of recruiting is superseded by "reality."

In the mean time, we shouldn't be surprised when Rutgers is listed as the "leader."

This just goes to show you that you can pretty much tell these recruits anything. "I'm a really good coach and you will love playing for me" or the one that never gets old "we can't compete for a Big East title BUT we're well on our way to meeting our dreams of a National Championship and we really want you to be a part of that".

maybe maybe not. While it's obviously early Syracuse must be waiting to see how he does at the upcoming combines and/or camps. SU offered another kid from NYC the other day and Plonski is still waiting.
