I'm going to petition that we help you find a new hobby other than making very generalized assertions based off mathematical functions that only tell a part of the story.  You aren't Bill James and no matter what formula you use if you can't sit and watch some of the teams we are playing in the ACC and figure out it is a harder schedule I don't really know what to tell you.  On top of the fact that our former foes like RU are being shredded by C-USA holdovers should be enough of a clue.
