They played Simmons here a couple of times and that move wouldn't shock me except, Desko tends to place a premium on experience and with Salcido and Mariano gone, there are some big holes to fill on the offensive mid lines. Feel like we are going to have to do better than Schwasnick and Hutchings. However this ends up, this entire unit has to tighten up. Crappy first quarters and giving up 4-6 goals early is a recipe for disaster. I think doubly so next year as we are likely not going to have the offensive firepower to dig ourselves out of deep holes like we did repeatedly this season. Some of this is on coaching as well.
