Apologies if the answers are on the board and I've missed them.

1) Who was #86 who ran the ball on the 2 pt conversion. The announcer said David Clement, but that was not Clement, this guy was much smaller and faster (but not fast enough).
2) Was Zeed Haynes at the game with the team? Did he practice all week? He surely had time to get in shape and play. Something must be up.
3) Did Ricky Collins work out with the team in the practices? Any insight into how well he looked?

TIA.

#96 ran the 2pt conversion, NOT #86.

2. Why must something be up? Is it possible the staff gave time and the experience to play in a bowl game to the guys that have been here all year and worked their tails off?
Sure, agree on that point, but no one has even confirmed that he was there. IIRC, he was at the last few games of the year. Why wouldn’t he be at the bowl?

We ran that 2 pt conversion with the kicker as the guy who had to outrun 2 defenders to the pylon? What a stupid play design. At least give it to someone with speed. Another reason Vollono will soon be unemployed.
You think Vollono went rogue and called that play on his own?

Couldn’t he still have the same family issues that he had during the season?

Trick plays in bowl games are totally fine and I encourage them. God forbid we have some fun play calls. I agree Vollono shouldn't be back but not for that reason

I agree. But at the same time every coach with knowledge of the play should have to answer why they thought the design was a good idea. No issue with the trickery, but the trickery shouldn't put you at a disadvantage.

He had to make a great individual play just to make it close to being successful.

zeed would be great to have back but either way we are going to have a solid wr room
Gill has proved himself more than capable. Plus, Pena and JRS, both seniors, both with tons of experience. Only missing piece is a TE in the fashion of OG. We won't have that, just need Tremble or whoever servicable.

looks like hes lost a step:)

So - are you forgetting or ignoring that he actually *did* get the corner and dive for the endzone?
And that Syracuse was credited with the 2 points.

It was only because a millimeter of his foot was on the sideline, that the 2pt conversion was overruled.

If Tremble is half as productive as Gadsden was this season as a receiving threat he would still have something like one of the top 10 most prolific seasons for a TE in school history.

He missed by the edge of his right foot being oob. Relax
That’s exactly the point, he didn’t make it and we did not give ourselves the best opportunity to make it. Every single one of us (including you) would have felt better if the man with the ball was a rb or wr or db with equivalent speed to the kicker. They are used to running with the ball, making a man miss or running someone over if need be. No one draws up that play with a kicker ( I don’t care how fast) running with the ball, except Vollono (Presuming he made that choice). Coaching malpractice.

sometimes you get away with coaching malpractice, this time we didn’t. Could have done better.

If he went rogue, even being successful would have been a doomed effort in the end. That seems unlikely.

Kennedy ran track in HS and was on relay teams that qualified for the nationals.
yeah. he looked plenty fast. for all we know he might be in the top tier of speed.

The only reason it didn't work is he stepped on the line.. He turned the corner better than our RBs did all yr
