Finally got to watch BC game last night.

Great to see BJ have a good game.

You know the kid busts his a$$ in practice and great to see it pay off.

How nice was it to see us knock down some open shots?

Yeah, he definitely forced a couple but he also had 2 that were down and spun out.

Meanwhile, in the second half, they now had to guard BJ along with guarding Rak and Cooney. That left the lane looking like the Lincoln Tunnel @ 3 AM.

part of the rooting is having realistic expectations - if you expect him to be Kobe Bryant out of the gate, you will be disappointed. If you just see kids that are 19 years old, taking steps forward in their game, you can be happy. BJ took a step forward against BC.

When you are a slim 6-8 you aren't going to be hovering around the boards too much. This is a baby step breakthrough for BJ. Let this be a building block and not an anchor. Give him more credit than criticism.

I don't mind the boards. Four boards for your hybrid 3 is fine. I neeeed a ball player, not James Southy part duex.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think our Sophs will be great by senior year. The fact that they are struggling is not the end of the world because these guys were all too 100 players, so by their senior year you gotta believe they'll be better than most incoming McD players. But, 12 pts on 13 shots is not a good game.

He could have got 6-13 but he went 4-13. Would you call GMac a streaky shooter if 25% of his rim-n-outs went in?

4 3s = 12 points and equals 6 2s - not great but not bad either. Besides, there's more to the game than just shooting percentage.
